<h1>Chef Wanted for Sommarøy - Seasonal Position with Possibility of Extension</h1><p>Would you like to work as a chef in the beautiful surroundings of Sommarøy, just outside Tromsø? We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated chef to join our team at Sommarøy Hotel for an exciting seasonal position.</p><p>This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a kitchen, takes pride in using quality ingredients, and would love to combine work with unforgettable nature experiences in Northern Norway.</p><p>The position is full-time (100%), starting in November and running until the end of March, with the possibility of extension.</p><h2>Job Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Preparing and presenting dinner dishes and à la carte meals.</li><li>Ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.</li><li>Contributing to the efficient and well-organised daily operation of the kitchen.</li><li>Maintaining high standards of hygiene and following food safety procedures, including HACCP.</li><li>Working closely with the kitchen team and other departments.</li><li>Contributing to a positive working environment and excellent guest experiences.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Experience as a chef in a hotel, restaurant, or similar establishment.</li><li>Experience with à la carte service.</li><li>A professional chef qualification is preferred, but relevant work experience may compensate.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.</li><li>Good understanding of ingredients, food quality, and kitchen routines.</li><li>Organised, flexible, and solution-oriented.</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Fluent in either Norwegian or English.</li></ul><h2>What We Offer</h2><ul><li>A full-time seasonal position from November until the end of March, with the possibility of extension.</li><li>An exciting working environment surrounded by spectacular natural scenery.</li><li>A friendly and international working environment.</li><li>Staff accommodation available for only NOK 2,500 per month.
